JW's kids must NOT attend nursery school
by aligot ripounsous ini thought that after some 30 years as a jw the wts's teaching is so familiar that i can hardly find anything new in assembly talks, which may be the reason why, as many attendants do, i gently noze down and opening an eye from time to time is enough to catch up the drift of an all too well known talk.
still, i've been genuinely surprised last sunday by a point a bethel visitor rose in one of the p.m talks, namely that jws are not advised to send their kids to school until an age when he (she) can take a personal stand re.
xmas, birthdays, etc.

Revelation BookStudy Change Of Thought???
by LouBelle inhey all.
right i honestly don't keep up to date what is happening with the jws' changes of thought.
my aunt - who is now listening to reason & is starting to search outside of jw beliefs, mentioned that they were at their bookstudy and the brother said ""we'll be skipping the next paragraph, as there is a change in thought""".

No idea could br to do with Generation that saw 1914 etc....God I hate that book, but the brother who wrote it had a lot of guts to print such trash and call it truth.

Guys are smart and like to get there money worth so we drive 15 Miles/Klms to get the cheapest fuel. In Australia fuel this week is $1.44 a litre rip off!!! I fill up on Tuesday when the price for some reason is lowest.

still considering going back to meetings...
by oompa innot that i want to or anything, but this therapist guy seems to think that it would be really helpful to my wife.
he says to pull out the good and ignore what you dont like, and that supporting my wife a bit in this way could be good for us as a couple.
it could also let us have at least some shot at keeping the old social life alive.

Eventually your Wife needs to follow YOUR example. I found if I went to meetings once in a while she would be more encouraged not to miss meetings, and she would think maybe I will make a come-back if she hangs in there. Slowly though she stopped asking me if I'm going since the answer was always "No thanks." And now she has joined me on "The darkside of the force."

The Golden age was the garbage dump for all the wacky stupid ideas of the time. Woodworth was so embarrasing as an Editor that Franz insisted they change the name of the magazine to "Awake" so as to distance himself from these stupid ideas which flowed for many decades.

My wife FINALLY quits Witnessing and Meetings admits I was right!!!
by Witness 007 infor afew years a have been fading and telling my wife how i feel about such false doctrines as blood transfusions, 607 b.c.e date etc.
at first she would say "don't talk to me about discouraging things!!
" since i haven't been attending meetings or field service for over 2 years she has slowly quit 1. witnessing, then 2. theocratic school which she hated anyway but was forced to do.

I found a copy of Crisis of Conscience in our public library...it had not been borrowed for many years and had to be taken out of storage...Well done Raymond Franz, real eye opener...I will show it to my wife in the future but for now she is doing okay on her own and I don't want to scare her off too much. Haven't read the squel but hope to soon.

Yeah right...be like me dont have kids because of Armagedon...then when you turn 36 the pressure will be on from wife and J.W mum to have afew, last chance!!! Since the end did not come when expected,.. and my mum doesn't want to die without Grandkids by her side.

This is the main reason I left...I hate this doctrine. Thankyou to the web-site AJWFRB [Associated Jehovah's Witnesses for the reform on Blood} This convinced me to leave and made a huge crack in my "Watchtower" which only grew wider as time went on.

"On the way out" I found using the "Jehovah's Witness" aproach works very well. Use Pioneer tact, don't be too pushy...when seeing something on T.V regarding a cult or blood I would make a tactful remark about the Witnesses. I used every opertunity to make her think about her faith. P.S My wife is very very VERY headstrong and will NOT be pushed into anything. This took years to acomplish. GOOD LUCK.
